This Bed Bug paper was included in the synopsis of the symposium
Pests of Disease & Unease, which was
held at Westmead
Hospital in April 2005. The symposium
was a joint venture between the Department of Medical Entomology
(Westmead Hospital)
and the Centre for Entomological Research and Insecticide Technology
CERIT (University
of New South Wales).
The Synopsis is some 163 pages in length and
also includes articles on ticks, bird mites, mosquitoes, mosquito
borne disease and the dreaded 'mysterious bites'. All up there
are 70 full colour images, which include photographs of many
common biting insect pests.
Authors are all leading experts in their field and include the internationally
renown Medical Entomologist Assoc. Prof. Richard Russell,
Mr Bed Bug himself Stephen Doggett, Dr Cameron Webb
an Australian leader in mosquito control, Merilyn Geary
Australias
foremost expert in the identification of medically important
insects, plus more.

every who deals with or is affected by bed bugs, ticks, bird
mites, mosquitoes or things that bite.
