This Bed Bug paper was included in the synopsis of the symposium “Pests of Disease & Unease”, which was held at Westmead Hospital in April 2005. The symposium was a joint venture between the Department of Medical Entomology (Westmead Hospital) and the Centre for Entomological Research and Insecticide Technology – CERIT (University of New South Wales).

podu_cover.jpg (113269 bytes)The Synopsis is some 163 pages in length and also includes articles on ticks, bird mites, mosquitoes, mosquito borne disease and the dreaded 'mysterious bites'. All up there are 70 full colour images, which include photographs of many common biting insect pests.

Authors are all leading experts in their field and include the internationally renown Medical Entomologist – Assoc. Prof. Richard Russell, Mr Bed Bug himself – Stephen Doggett, Dr Cameron Webb – an Australian leader in mosquito control, Merilyn Geary – Australia’s foremost expert in the identification of medically important insects, plus more.

Thus the Synopsis a must have for every who deals with or is affected by bed bugs, ticks, bird mites, mosquitoes or things that bite.
