Note that for mosquito numbers 0 - 50 mosquitoes = "Low", 51 - 100 = "Medium",
101 - 1,000 = "High", 1,001 - 10,000 = "Very High", >10,000 = "Extreme".

7/5/2002: All chickens tested negative for flaviviruses from the 22/4 and 29/4 bleeds.

30/4/2002: Mosquito collections were 'low' from both sites.

23/4/2002: Mountford Park trapped 'low' numbers, while Quoldong Rd yielded a 'medium' trap of 69 mosquitoes, including 40 Culex quinquefasciatus.

19/4/2002: All chickens tested negative for flaviviruses from the 2/4, 8/4 and 14/4 bleeds.

16/4/2002: Collections were up this week, with 'medium' (55) numbers from Mountford Park, including 36 Culex quinquefasciatus. Quoldong Road had a 'high' collection of 112 mosquitoes, dominated by 61 Culex quinquefasciatus.

9/4/2002: Mosquito collections were 'low' from both sites.

4/4/2002: All chickens tested negative for flaviviruses from the 24/3 bleed.

3/4/2002: Mosquito collections were 'low' from both sites.

28/3/2002: All chickens tested negative for flaviviruses from the 12/3 & 19/3 bleeds.

20/3/2002: Mosquito numbers have declined but are still above average. Mountford Park trapped 'medium' numbers (97), with 58 Culex annulirostris. A 'high' collection (143) was made from Quolding Rd, with 99 Culex annulirostris.

20/3/2002: All chickens tested negative for flaviviruses from the 4/3 bleed.

13/3/2002: Mosquito numbers are on the decline, although a 'high' collection (251) was made from Quolding Rd, with 179 Culex annulirostris. Mountford Park trapped 'medium' numbers (67), with 30 Culex annulirostris.

6/3/2002: All chickens tested negative for flaviviruses from the 25/2 bleed.

5/3/2002: Numbers were up this week and well above average, with 'high' collections from both sites. Mountford Park trapped 764 mosquitoes, with 600 Culex annulirostris. Quodling Rd collected 162, with 128 Culex annulirostris.

26/2/2002: Collections were down this week and below average. Mountford Road had a 'medium' collection of 74 mosquitoes, with 47 Culex annulirostris. Quodling Rd collected 134 (again a 'high' collection), with 85 Culex annulirostris.

20/2/2002: All chickens tested negative for flaviviruses from the 18/2 bleed.

19/2/2002: The Almond Rd site has been replaced due to repeated vandalism and is now nearby at Quodling St (see site map). 'High' numbers were trapped from both sites. Mountford Park trapped 193 mosquitoes, with 142 Culex annulirostris. Quodling Rd collected 155, with 118 Culex annulirostris.

13/2/2002: All chickens tested negative for flaviviruses from the 11/2 bleed.

12/2/2002: Mountford Park had 'medium' numbers (74), with 44 Culex annulirostris. Almond Rd had a trap failure.

11/2/2002: All chickens tested negative for flaviviruses from the 4/2 bleed.

7/8/2002: Collections were down this week with the cool, moist conditions, altough still 'very high' from Almond Rd, which trapped 1003 mosquitoes and 790 of these were Culex annulirostris. Mountford Park trapped 'low' numbers.

1/2/2002: All chickens tested negative for flaviviruses from the 28/1 bleed.

30/1/2002: Numbers continue to rise this week. Mountford Park had a partial trap failure. Almond Road again had a 'very high' collection, with 8451 mosquitoes, including 4308 Culex annulirostris and 4109 Anopheles annulipes.

23/1/2002: The biggest numbers for the season were collected this week, with a 'very high' trap of 5033 from Almond Rd. This included 3134 Culex annulirostris and 1875 Anopheles annulipes. Mountford Park had 'low' numbers with a partial trap failure.

16/1/2002: All chickens tested negative for flaviviruses from the 15/1 bleed.

15/1/2002: Mosquito collections were 'low' from Mountford Park, while Almond Rd had a trap failure.

9/1/2002: All chickens tested negative for flaviviruses from the 7/1 bleed.

8/1/2002: Numbers are up this week and approaching average. Mountford Park had a 'medium' collection (83), with 41 Anopheles annulipes. Almond Rd had a 'very high' collection of 1471, with 799 Culex annulirostris and 666 Anopheles annulipes.

4/1/2002: All chickens tested negative for flaviviruses from the 11/12 and 17/12 bleeds.

18/12/2001: Numbers have increased this week to be around average. Mountford Park trapped 72 mosquitoes ('medium' numbers), with 23 Culex annulirostris. While Almond Rd yielded a 'high' collection of 310, with 120 Culex annulirostris.

10/12/2001: All chickens tested negative for flaviviruses from the 26/11 bleed.

4/12/2001: Numbers are rising and around average from Almond Road, with a 'high' collection of 140 mosquitoes. Mountford Parks continues with 'low' numbers.

28/11/2001: Numbers continue to be 'low' to 'medium' and below average.

27/11/2001: All chickens tested negative for flaviviruses from the 20/11 bleed.

21/11/2001: Numbers are 'low' to 'medium' and slightly below average.

16/11/2001: All chickens tested negative for flaviviruses.

14/11/2001: Mosquito numbers were 'low' from both sites.

6/11/2001: All chickens from the initial bleed were seronegative for flaviviruses.
