10/4/2001: Numbers were 'low' this week.  All chickens tested negative for flaviviruses.

3/4/2001: Mosquito populations are further declining, with a 'low' collection from Hanwood. Willbrigge had 'medium' (61) numbers, with 44 Culex annulirostris. All chickens tested negative for flaviviruses.

27/3/2001: Numbers continue to decline with the cooler weather. Hanwood trapped 'high' numbers (109), with 82 Culex annulirostris. Willbriggie collected 'medium' numbers (58), with 33 Anopheles annulipesAll chickens tested negative for flaviviruses.

20/3/2001: Average collections were made this week, with 'high' numbers from both sites. Hanwood trapped 344 mosqquitoes, with 304 Culex annulirostris. Willbriggie collected 414, with 205 Culex annulirostris and 206 Anopheles annulipes. All chickens tested negative for flaviviruses.

13/3/2001: Numbers are well below average this week, although 'high' from both sites. Hanwood trapped 212 mosquitoes, with 140 Culex annulirostris. Willbriggie collected 183 with 140 Culex annulirostris. There was one Kunjin seroconversion in the sentinel chicken flock.

6/3/2001: Overall numbers were close to average this week. Hanwood trapped 317 mosquitoes ('high'), with 226 Culex annulirostris. Willbriggie collected 'very high' numbers (2400) and the vast majority (2311), were Anopheles annulipes. All chickens tested negative for flaviviruses.

9/3/2001: One Sindbis isolate was made from Culex annulirostris, collected 22/2/2001 from Hanwood.

27/2/2001: Overall numbers were around half the long term average. Hanwood trapped 1229 mosquitoes ('very high' numbers), with 809 Culex annulirostris and 360 Anopheles annulipes. Willbriggie had 'high' numbers (915), with 649 Culex annulirostris and 235 Anopheles annulipes. There was one chicken that seroconverted to Kunjin virus.

26/2/2001: One Sindbis isolate was made from Culex annulirostris, collected 15/2/2001 from Willbriggie.

20/2/2001: Numbers have declined slightly and are just below average. A 'very high' collection of 1259 mosquitoes was trapped from Hanwood, with 956 Culex annulirostris and 240 Anopheles annulipes.

13/2/2001: Numbers are well up this week and above average, with 'high' collections from both sites. Hanwood trapped 1,000 mosquitoes, with 848 Culex annulirostris. Willbriggie collected 3,545, with 1578 Culex annulirostris and 1949 Anopheles annulipes. All chickens tested negative for flaviviruses.

6/2/2001: Collections were close to average and 'very high' from both sites. Hanwood trapped 1592 mosquitoes, with 1500 Culex annulirostris. Willbriggie collected 1549 mosquitoes, with 1140 Anopheles annulipes and 402 Culex annulirostris. All chickens tested negative for flaviviruses.

5/2/2001: Six Sindbis isolates were made from Culex annulirostris, collected 23/1/2001 from Hanwood.

2/2/2001: One Ross River isolate was made from Culex annulirostris, collected 23/1/2001 from Hanwood.

30/1/2001: Collections are well below average this week and were 'high' from both sites. Hanwood trapped 563 mosquitoes, with 283 Culex annulirostris. Willbriggie collected 869 mosquitoes, with 588 Culex annulirostris. All chickens tested negative for flaviviruses.

29/1/2001: Three Sindbis isolates were made from Culex annulirostris, collected 16/1/2001 from Hanwood.

23/1/2001: Numbers are on the increase and were 'very high' from both sites, but are still below average. Hanwood trapped 2562 mosquitoes, with 2441 Culex annulirostris. Willbriggie collected 1057 mosquitoes, with 915 Culex annulirostris. All chickens tested negative for flaviviruses.

16/1/2001: The hot, dry conditions have kept the numbers well below average. Hanwood collected 'high' numbers (866), with 781 Culex annulirostris. Willbriggie also trapped 'high' numbers (281), with 149 Culex annulirostris. All chickens tested negative for flaviviruses.

15/1/2001: There was one isolate of Sindbis from Culex annulirostris collected at Willbriggie on the 26/12/2000.

8/1/2001: Numbers are down this week due to the cold change and strong winds. Both sites had 'high' numbers, with 196 (189 Culex annulirostris) from Hanwood and 107 (99 Culex annulirostris) from Willbriggie. All chickens tested negative for flaviviruses.

2/1/2001: Hanwwod trapped 'high' numbers (783), with 719 Culex annulirostris. While a 'very high' (3430) collection was made from Willbriggie, with 2768 Culex annulirostris. All chickens tested negative for flaviviruses.

26/12/2000: Overall numbers are down this week, with a 'very high' collection at Hanwood, with 1533 mosquitoes (1361 were Culex annulirostris). Willbriggie had 'high' numbers (894), with 384 Culex annulirostris and 475 Anopheles annulipes. All chickens tested negative for flaviviruses.

18/12/2000: Mosquito numbers are well up this week, with 'high' collections from both sites. Hanwood trapped 1830 mosquitoes, with 1633 Culex annulirostris. While Willbriggie collected 2058, with 1019 Anopheles annulipes and 994 Culex annulirostris. All chickens tested negative for flaviviruses.

12/12/2000: Hanwood had notably higher numbers this week, with a 'high' collection of 850 mosquitoes. Culex annulirostris (792) was the dominate species. The Willbriggie trap failed. All chickens tested negative for flaviviruses.

4/12/2000: Mosquito numbers continue to increase, with a 'very high' (1207) collection from Willbriggie, being over 2x the average. Culex annulirostris (817) was the dominate species. Hanwood had close to normal numbers with 469 mosquitoes and of these, 337 were Culex annulirostris. All chickens tested negative for flaviviruses.

27/11/2000: Numbers are on the increase with 'high' numbers from both sites. Hanwood trapped 444 mosquitoes, with 379 Culex annulirostris, while Willbriggie collected 654, with 415 Culex annulirostris. All chickens tested negative for flaviviruses.

21/11/2000: Mosquito numbers were well below average from both sites. Hanwood had 'medium' (94) numbers, with 67 Culex annulirostris. Collections were 'high' (238) from Willbriggie, with 165 Culex annulirostris. All chickens tested negative for flaviviruses.

13/11/2000: Mosquito collections were 'high' from both Hanwood (122 mosquitoes) and Willbriggie (109) with numbers close to average. All chickens tested negative for flaviviruses.

7/11/2000: Numbers continue to be close to average, with a 'low' collection from Hanwood and 'high' (198) numbers from Willbriggie. Culex annulirostris (79) dominated the Willbriggie collection. All chickens tested negative for flaviviruses.

30/10/2000: Close to average mosquito numbers were collected for the first week of the program. Hanwood had a nil catch, while Willbriggie had 'high' numbers (136), with 64 Culex annulirostris. All chickens tested negative for flaviviruses.

23/10/2000: All chickens tested negative for flaviviruses.

17/10/2000: All chickens tested negative for flavivirus from the initial bleed.
