Note that for mosquito numbers 0 - 50 mosquitoes = "Low", 51 - 100 = "Medium",
101 - 1,000 = "High", 1,001 - 10,000 = "Very High", >10,000 = "Extreme".

1/5/2001: Numbers were 'low' at Empire Bay.

24/4/2001: Numbers were 'low' at Empire Bay.

19/4/2001: Numbers were down and 'medium' (51), with 44 Aedes notoscriptus.

11/4/2001: Numbers were 'high' (243) this week, which is the highest collection this season, with 64 Aedes vigilax and 101 Aedes notoscriptus.

4/4/2001: Numbers were 'low' at Empire Bay.

28/3/2001: Numbers were 'low' at Empire Bay, however the trap did fail overnight.

20/3/2001: Mosquito numbers were 'medium' (74), with 32 Aedes alternans.

13/3/2001: Numbers were 'low' at Empire Bay.

6/3/2001: Numbers are again 'medium' (74), with 46 Aedes notoscriptus.

14/2/2001: The collection this week yielded the biggest catch of all season, with a total of 228 mosquitoes ('high'), with 107 Aedes alternans.

5/2/2001: Numbers have declined to be 'medium' (57), with 25 each of Aedes vigilax and Culex sitiens.

30/1/2001: Numbers have jumped to be 'high' (119) this week, and this was due to the increase in Aedes vigilax (103).

22/1/2001: Mosquito numbers continue to be 'low'.

15/1/2001: Mosquito numbers continue to be 'low'.

8/1/2001: Mosquito numbers are again 'low'.

2/1/2001: Mosquito numbers continue to be 'low'.

18/12/2000: Mosquito numbers were 'low'.

11/12/2000: The trap failed this week.

4/12/2000: The trap at Empire Bay yielded 'medium' numbers (64), which is unusually high for this time of the year. Aedes notoscriptus (24) was the predominate species.
