Note that for mosquito numbers 0 - 50 mosquitoes = "Low", 51 - 100 = "Medium",
101 - 1,000 = "High", 1,001 - 10,000 = "Very High", >10,000 = "Extreme".

20/3/2001: Mosquito numbers were again 'low' from both sites.

13/3/2001: Mosquito numbers were 'low' from both sites.

6/3/2001: Numbers again are below average but  'high' from both sites. The STW trapped 163 mosquitoes, with 152 Culex annulirostris, while the WTP collected 127, with 101 Culex annulirostris.

27/2/2001: Below average numbers continue, although both sites had 'high' collections. The STW trapped 186 mosquitoes, with 166 Culex annulirostris, while the WTP trapped 113, with 92 Culex annulirostris.

26/2/2001: One Sindbis isolate was made from Culex annulirostris, collected 15/2/2001 from the STW.

15/2/2001: Similar numbers continue with a 'high' collection of 169 mosquitoes from the STW and Culex annulirostris (145) was the predominant species. Numbers were 'low' at the WTP.

6/2/2001: Overall numbers are well below average. A 'high' collection (117) was made from the STW, with 101 Culex annulirostris.  The WTP trapped 'medium' numbers (99), with 50 Culex annulirostris.

30/1/2001: Populations have dropped this week and are below average. The STW had a 'high' collection (322), with 290 Culex annulirostris, while 'medium' numbers (85) were trapped at the WTP, with 46 Culex annulirostris.

29/1/2001: One Sindis isolate was made from Culex annulirostris collected 16/1/2001 from the STW.

23/1/2001: Numbers are noticably up this week and around average, with 'high' collections from both sites. The STW trapped 554 mosquitoes, with 538 Culex annulirostris. The WTP collected 236 mosquitoes, with 164 Culex annulirostris.

16/1/2001: The recent hot & dry conditions have prevented the mosquito populations from reaching their previous large numbers. The STW trapped 'high' numbers (241), with 225 Culex annulirostris, while the WTP had a 'medium' collection of 86, with 64 Culex annulirostris.

8/1/2001:  Numbers were down this week with the cooler conditions, and were 'high' from both sites. The STW trapped 165 mosquitoes (128 Culex annulirostris). The WTP collected 118 mosquitoes (88 Culex annulirostris).

18/12/2000: Numbers were 'high' from both sites. The STW trapped 658 mosquitoes, with 577 Culex annulirostris. The WTP collected 102 mosquitoes, with 88 Culex annulirostris.

12/12/2000: The STW continues to rise with another 'high' (768) collection. Culex annulirostris (694) dominated the collection. The trap failed at the WTP.

4/12/2000: There was a notable increase in numbers from the STW, with a 'high' collection (578), being over 2x the average. Culex annulirostris (482) was the most common species. The WTP yielded a 'medium' (96) trap number, with 66 Culex annulirostris.

27/11/2000: The STW had 'high' numbers (136), with 120 Culex annulirostris, which was around 6x the average. No trap was set a the Water Treatment Plant.
