Note that for mosquito numbers 0 - 50 mosquitoes = "Low", 51 - 100 = "Medium",
101 - 1,000 = "High", 1,001 - 10,000 = "Very High", >10,000 = "Extreme".

17/4/2000: Large mosquito collections are still being captured and numbers are mostly well above average. Gan Gan had 'high' numbers (154), with 91 Aedes multiplex. 'High' numbers (512) were collected from Saltash, with 199 Aedes multiplex. Medowie had a 'high' collection (212), with 105 Culex annulirostris. 'Low' numbers were trapped at Karuah. Heatherbrae had 'very high' numbers (1247), with 783 Culex annulirostris.

3/4/2000: Some big numbers continue, especially from Saltash and Medowie, with numbers well above average. Gan Gan trapped 'high' numbers (246), with 63 Aedes vigilax. 'Very high' numbers (1008) were collected from Saltash, wtih 302 Aedes vigilax. Medowie had a 'medium' collection (86), with 18 Aedes vigilax. Karuah also had 'medium numbers (92), with 50 Aedes vigilax. Numbers were 'high' (631) from Heatherbrae, with 185 Coquillettidia linealis.

27/3/2000: Overall numbers this week are well above average, especially from Heatherbrae. Gan Gan had 'high' numbers (100), with 41 Aedes vigilax. 'High' numbers (559) were collected from Saltash, with 211 Aedes vigilax. Medowie had 'high' numbers (166), with 100 Aedes vigilax. Karuah also had 'high' numbers (156), with 122 Aedes vigilax. 'Very high' numbers (1626) were trapped from Heatherbrae, with 593 Aedes vigilax.

20/3/2000: Only two traps were set this week, but some very big numbers were collected. Karuah had 'high' numbers (843), with 800 Aedes vigilax. 'Very high' numbers (5664) were trapped from Heatherbrae, with 2711 Aedes vigilax, 1375 Culex annulirostris and 994 Coquillettidia linealis.

13/3/2000: Numbers continue at similar levels to the previous weeks. Gan Gan continues with (113) 'high' collections, with 61 Coquillettidia linealis. Saltash had a noticable rise from previous weeks with 'high' numbers (220), with 136 Coquillettidia linealis. Medowie and Karuah trapped 'low' numbers. Heatherbrae had a 'very high' collection (1243), with 576 Aedes vigilax.

6/3/2000: Similar collections to last week, although a noticable rise in Aedes vigilax numbers from Heatherbrae. Gan Gan trapped 'high' numbers (147), with 99 Coquillettidia linealis. Saltash had a 'medium' collection (62), with 44 Aedes vigilax. 'Low' numbers were trapped from Medowie. Karuah yielded 'medium' numbers (66), with 57 Aedes vigilax. 'Very high' numbers (2308) were collected from Heatherbrae, with 1237 Aedes vigilax and 509 Coquillettidia linealis.

28/2/2000:  Only Heatherbrae trapped mosquito numbers greater than average. Gan Gan collected 'high' numbers (156), with 72 Coquillettidia linealis. 'Medium' numbers (90) were yielded from Saltash, with 47 Coquillettidia linealis. Medowie had a 'low' collection. Collections were 'medium' (98) from Karuah, with 64 Aedes vigilax. Numbers continue to be 'very high' (1231) from Heatherbrae, with 633 Coquillettidia linealis.

21/2/2000: Except for Heatherbrae, all sites had below average collections. Gan Gan trapped 'high' numbers (121), with 78 Coquillettidia linealis. Saltash had a 'high' (183) collection, with 97 Coquillettidia linealis. A 'medium' (71) collection was made from Medowie, with 49 Coquillettidia linealis. Numbers were 'high' (170) from Karuah, with 99 Culex molestus. Heatherbrae trapped 'very high' numbers (1698), with 1285 Coquillettidia linealis.

14/2/2000: Numbers are mostly around average this week. Gan Gan had 'high' numbers (198), with 81 Coquillettidia linealis. 'High' numbers (128) were trapped from Saltash, with 74 Aedes vigilax. Numbers were 'low' from Medowie. Saltash also trapped 'high' (183) mosquito numbers, with 154 Aedes vigilax. Heatherbrae again had the highest mosquito numbers from Port Stephens, with a 'high' trap and 147 Coquillettidia linealis.

8/2/2000: Numbers were 'high' (232) from Gan Gan, with 91 Aedes vigilax. Saltash collected 'high' numbers (673), with 487 Aedes vigilax. Medowie yielded 'high' numbers (165), with 108 Aedes vigilax. Karuah trapped 'high' mosquito numbers (121), with 39 Aedes vigilax. Numbers at Heatherbrae rose again to be 'very high' (2857), with 1714 Coquillettidia linealis.

3/2/2000: Mosquito numbers are higher this week, although around average. Gan Gan had 'high' numbers (164), with 72 Coquillettidia variegata. 'High' mosquito numbers (267) were trapped from Saltash, with 134 Aedes vigilax. Medowie trapped 'low' numbers. Karuah had a 'high' collection (219), with 201 Aedes vigilax. Heatherbrae had 'high' numbers (526), with 245 Coquillettidia linealis.

24/1/2000: Gan Gan had 'high' numbers (228), with 99 Coquillettidia variegata. Saltash continue to have 'high' collections (315), with 186 Coquillettidia linealis. Only 'low' numbers were trapped from Medowie and Karuah. Heatherbrae continue to have the highest mosquito trap numbers, with a 'high' collection (486) and 272 Coquillettidia linealis.

17/1/2000: Numbers are on the increase this week, and slightly above average. Gan Gan had a 'high' collection (331), with 63 Aedes vigilax and 110 Coquillettidia variegata. Saltash also had a 'high' collection (488), with 289 Aedes vigilax. A 'high' collection (100) was made from Medowie, with 71 Aedes vigilax. Karuah had 'medium' numbers (66), with 18 Aedes vigilax. Karuah yielded a 'very high' collection (1656), with 935 Coquillettidia linealis and 279 Aedes vigilax.

10/1/2000: Numbers are mostly around average this week, although Aedes vigilax is now dominating the collections. Gan Gan had 'high' numbers (227), with 68 Aedes vigilax. Saltash also had 'high' numbers (428), with 242 Aedes vigilax. 'High' numbers (139) were trapped from Medowie, with 125 Aedes vigilax. Karauh had 'medium' numbers (69), with 52 Aedes vigilax. Heatherbrae trapped 'high' mosquito numbers (717), with 302 Aedes vigilax.

20/12/99: Mosquito numbers are well down this week. Gan Gan trapped 'high' numbers (124), with 55 Coquillettidia variegata. Numbers were 'high' (142) at Saltash, with 105 Coquillettidia linealis. Medowie had a 'low' collection. Karuah trapped 'medium' (84) mosquito numbers, with 67 Culex molestus. Heatherbrae also had 'medium' numbers (93), with 27 Culex orbostiensis.

13/12/99: Gan Gan had a 'high' collection (134), with 75 Coquillettidia linealis. 'High' mosquito numbers (256) were trapped at Saltash, with 173 Coquillettidia linealis. Medowie had 'medium' numbers (64), with 42 Coquillettidia linealis. 'Low' mosquito numbers were trapped at Karauh. Heatherbrae had a 'high' collection (825), with 584 Coquillettidia linealis.

9/12/99: Gan Gan had a 'high' collection (313), with 158 Coquillettidia linealis. 'High' mosquito numbers (400) were trapped at Saltash, with 226 Coquillettidia linealis. Medowie had 'high' numbers (129), with 93 Coquillettidia linealis. 'Low' mosquito numbers were trapped at Karauh. Heatherbrae has a 'very high' collection (2187), with 1536 Coquillettidia linealis.

1/12/99: Gan Gan had a medium collection (69), with 22 Coquillettidia linealis. Mosquito numbers were 'high' (139) from Saltash, with 82 Coquillettidia linealis. Medowie also trapped 'high' numbers (167), with 88 Coquillettidia linealis. 'Low' mosquito numbers were collected from Karauh. Heatherbrae numbers were again down but still 'high' (425), with 273 Coquillettidia linealis.

24/11/99: Gan Gan produced 'high' mosquito numbers (259), with 111 Coquillettidia linealis. A 'high' collection (459) was made from Saltash, with 325 Coquillettidia linealis. Medowie had 'low' numbers. 'High' numbers (125) were trapped from Karauh, with 79 Aedes vigilax. Heatherbrae has a 'very high' collection (1334), with 806 Coquillettidia linealis.

17/11/99: Gan Gan produced 'high' mosquito numbers (303), with 130 Aedes vigilax. Saltash had 'Very High' numbers (1201), with 289 Aedes vigilax 856 Coquillettidia linealis. 'High' numbers (162) were also collected at Medowie, with 109  Coquillettidia linealis. Note that all of these collections were well above average. Heatherbrae unusually for this time of the year, had 'very high' numbers (4096), with 2567 Coquillettidia linealis and 820 Aedes vigilax.
