19/4/99: Both sites had low numbers. All chickens tested negative for flaviviruses.

13/4/99: Site 1 had low numbers. All chickens tested negative for flaviviruses.

6/4/99: Site 1 had low numbers. Medium numbers (59) were collected from site 2, with 32 Cx. quinquefasciatus.

29/3/99: Site 2 had low numbers. All chickens tested negative for flaviviruses.

22/3/99: Site 1 had low numbers. All chickens tested negative for flaviviruses.

15/3/99: Site 1 had low numbers. Site 2 had high numbers (732), with 390 Cx. annulirostris (note that this is still well above the long term average). All chickens tested negative for flaviviruses.

8/3/99: All chickens tested negative for flaviviruses.

7/3/99: Numbers are down considerably upon last week. Site 1 had high numbers (131), with 68 Cx. annulirostris. Site 2 also had a high collection (182), with 158 Cx. annulirostris.

1/3/99: All chickens tested negative for flaviviruses from the initial bleed.

28/2/99: Very high numbers, well above the average, continue. Site 1 had a total of 2251 mosquitoes with 1606 Cx. annulirostris and 621 An. annulipes. Site 2 also had very high numbers (6254), with 3840 Cx. annulirostris and 2303 An. annulipes.

21/2/99: Site 1 had very high collections (1295), with 553 An. annulipes and 740 Cx. annulirostris. Very high collections (1702) were made from site 2, with 1535 Cx. annulirostris. This total for site 2 is around ten times the average.

7/2/99: Site 1 had high mosquito numbers (470), with 408 Cx. annulirostris. The Site 2 trap failed overnight.

31/1/99: Site 1 had high mosquito collections (280), with 265 Cx. annulirostris. Very high collections (4697) continue at site 2, which is still well above the long term average of 320. Of these 4313 were Cx. annulirostris.

17/1/99: Site 1 had a total of 1,218 mosquitoes, roughly 4 times the average. Of these 1,146 were Cx. annulirostris. Very high collections (5309) continue at site 2, with 2323 An. annulipes and 2955 Cx. annulirostris, these numbers continue to be well above the location's long term average. There was one Kunjin isolated from Mountford Park from Cx. annulirostris.

3/1/99: Site 1 had high numbers (957) with 879 Cx. annulirostris. Extraordinary numbers from site 2, with the total of 17965 being a record for the history of the Arbovirus Surveillance Program. Cx. annulirostris accounted for 16606 of the sample. There were 24 Sindbis isolates from Almond Rd (Site 2), all from Cx. annulirostris, and 3 Sindbis from Mounford Park, all again from Cx. annulirostris.

27/12/98: Site 1 had very high numbers (1111) with 960 Cx. annulirostris. Extraordinary numbers from site 2, with a total of 10,450 mosquitoes, which is around 50 times the long term average. Of these a massive 8,956 were Cx. annulirostris. There was 12 isolates of Sindbis from Almond Rd (Site 1).

20/12/98: High mosquito collections (597) were made at site 1, with 544 Cx. annulirostris. Site 2 had very high collections (3909), with 3530  Cx. annulirostris. There were 2 Sindbis isolates from Mountford Park, all from Cx. annulirostris and one Sindbis from Almond Rd, from Cx. annulirostris. .

13/12/98: Numbers were high at site 1, with a total of 262 mosquitoes, with 225 Cx. annulirostris. Very high (2687) mosquito numbers collected at site 2, and this is considerably higher than the long term location average of 398 for this time of the year. Of these, 2495 were Cx. annulirostris (compare this to the long term Cx. annulirostris average of 303) and 127 were An. annulipes. There were 6 isolates of Sindbis from Almond Rd, all being from Cx. annulirostris. 

6/12/98: Very high (1276) mosquito numbers collected at site 1, and this is considerably higher than the long term location average of 158 for this time of the year. Of these, 787 were Cx. annulirostris (compare this to the long term Cx. annulirostris average of 109) and 460 were An. annulipes. Numbers were high at site 2, with a total of 278 mosquitoes, with 140 Cx. annulirostris.

29/11/98: Site 1 had high numbers (229), with 160 Cx. annulirostris, well above the average of 61. Site 2 also collected high (177) numbers with 108 Cx. annulirostris.
